Newgen's Valentine
Muralidharan
Vice President
Muralidharan attended his interview with Newgen on his birthday, and joined the place a few days later, on Valentine's Day, 2005.
"What a journey!" he says, recalling the start of the relationship. "The warm, friendly, welcoming team made me feel comfortable and the excitement of learning something new was sky high. In the following months, I realised that I had joined a company that would recognize my talent."
Over the many years at Newgen, Muralidharan has worked across divisions – journals, books, and digital conversion on the operation side – and supported the management by handling MIS, HR, and quality divisions too. He considers himself fortunate enough to have worked with a pool of talented, positive-minded, committed-to-excellence and result-oriented leaders and colleagues.
According to Muralidharan, the Newgen mantra is 'Change is inevitable, stay with the client.' Which means we need to accept the changes, transform ourselves to become more agile, be open to challenges, and work together, learn together and stay together with the client always. He values the synergy of work culture and productivity that Newgen provides. The consistent support, encouragement, openness to flexible timing, mutual respect, and friendly atmosphere at the workplace is a recipe for success, he believes.
"The world doesn't need us to think smaller," says Muralidharan. "The world needs us all to dream bigger, to be bolder, and figure out what makes us come alive." Truly spoken like a Newgenite.
