Vijayan Anandan completed his masters in statistics at Loyola College in 2001 and began his career in publishing industry later that same year.

He joined Newgen in 2003 as a technical editor. Between 2004 and 2005, he was promoted to the post of project leader and was charged with managing a small team. From 2005 to 2007 he moved to Bangalore to manage the books production team and it was during this time that he was promoted to senior project leader. He took a break from Newgen in 2008 and rejoined Newgen as a senior manager of operations in 2015. He now manages the Education Division.

Vijayan feels that there are no challenges, but certainly a huge number of opportunities for people to grow in Newgen. He believes Newgen to be a place of learning and that one can learn many things here. He feels any individual who owns up and takes responsibility will certainly grow. One doesn’t need to worry about their growth at Newgen because he confidently says that Newgen will take care of them. He talks of freedom, opportunity, learning, growth, and fulfillment with joy as being the key highlights of working for Newgen.

Despite his many promotions, he believes there is still a long way to go, and he is confident that he will work smartly with everyone in Newgen to reach that level.
